Voting highlights conflicting views of Hong Kong employers and workers
Fidelity Retirement Master Trust was announced at the 2020 MPF Scheme of the Year at the 8th edition of The MPF Awards.
“The MPF Awards recognizes MPF schemes that have delivered outstanding value and servicing to their members. Fidelity, as the 2020 MPF Scheme of the Year has set the industry standard for delivering such value” said MPF Ratings Chairman, Francis Chung.

It was a close race between Fidelity, Manulife, and HSBC and Hang Seng but Fidelity continues to demonstrate values of an industry leader across after fees investment performance while leverage the best available technology to deliver premium product and services to members.”
In other key awards, Sun Life was awarded the Employers’ Choice award; an externally voted award in collaboration with the Employers’ Federation of Hong Kong, and Manulife was awarded the People’s Choice with direct to public voting reaching 236,000 facebook users and over 1 million app and mobile site users. Manulife was a resounding winner securing more than 40% of the voting as the People’s Choice of MPF. Mr Chung commented, “Manulife’s strong brand, solid performance and service standards saw them Gold rated by MPF Ratings for the first time ever in 2020. The magnitude of the result also shows MPF is resonating with the Hong Kong public. The public appear well engaged with MPF and their MPF provider.”
